The little touches in the room, like bottled water, biscuits, fudge and selection of different teas and large mugs, oh and the cuddly fox named Todde on the bed.The bed was very comfortable with nice bed linen.
I didn't like the decor of the room, it was too hectic. I also found the large over head shower a pain in such a small cubicle, trying not to get my hair wet every time. My meal was not hot in the evening, but no one came back to the table to ask if it was ok, so I was stuck with it. Overall the service in the hotel restaurant I feel the waiters needed more training, silly things they got wrong both in the evening and breakfast.

The Hotel is in a great location to visit the forest and around a 20 min walk to Burley. The Hotel was tastefully furnished and our room was well equipped and had been recently decorated.
The Hotel food was fine and reasonably priced, but the staff seemed inefficient and flustered - a few mistakes with evening meal and breakfast orders.

Everything was perfect, nothing too much trouble, I recommend it. I liked the breakfast option, it was satisfactory. The staff were pleasant at this place. The location of the hotel was marvellous - just a short walk away from Burley Manor Riding Stables. Also, the area was great.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable, lots of little extras. staff are very friendly and helpful. They serve good pub food and a hearty breakfast. The inn is in a beautiful position, in the heart of the forest and a mile from Burley village.
We came down for a drink one evening, we were dining elsewhere and the only place to sit was on the terrace or in the garden ( a bit chilly) as all the tables inside were reserved and there is no residents area.
